Dancing in the car

Whenever a song comes on that Emily likes or has a good beat to it, she just loves to dance to it. Most of the time she will quit when I turn to watch her, but she was having so much fun dancing to it that she didn't stop. Was super excited that I got it on video.

First Zoo Trip

Today we went to the Potawatomi Zoo. This was Emily's first time to a zoo. She was so fun to watch as she wanted to run to everything and see everything all at once!
Luckily, her uncle "Wob" told me to take some quarters to get some fish food so that Emily could feed the fish. She had so much fun doing this. Well, she mainly fed the "quack quacks" but she still had fun!
Emily with her two favorite cousins. Kenny didn't want to sit and take the picture because he is "too cool" for that now, but he humored me and did it!
Tina was looking out over the pond to watch the fish and so Emmy had to as well. This is Tina lifting her up and getting her off of the stand!
And of course we had to look at the aligators. Best that they were inside...even though they were babies!!!

I love Wal-Mart!!!

This amazingly cute outfit I got at Walmart today for a grand total of...$6!!!! The shirt was $1 and the shorts were $5! How completely awesome is that! I LOVE Walmart!!!
Think she is going to be a cheerleader, eh?!
And a random note for this blog...When we went to Canada two weekends ago, I got this quarter back in change from when we had gotten the kids food. It is a Canadian quarter with the breast cancer ribbon on it. Since my favorite aunt was diagnosed with cancer last year, the pink ribbon has meant so much more to me. I kept this for her and mailed it to her this week. I just thought that it was so neat that a country would put this on their money! How completely awesome is that?! Oh, and just a side note...my aunt had surgery to remove the cancer and she has been cancer free ever since.

Guitar Hero

The greatest thing ever...I had gone to the store today and Emmy stayed home with her cousins. Kenny had been playing Guitar Hero when I left and was going to hang out with Emmy. When I got home, this is what I found when I got home! She was rocking her head back and fourth and pretending to play the guitar. It was the greatest thing ever!
And this is what happens when I let her eat her chicken nuggets with ketchup! She is such a messy girl!! But her face was too precious!

Dora Dance

So Emily got a singing doll from Tina and this is her new dance. The very beginning of this video is hysterical.

More Canada Pictures

I love this picture of Emily playing on the playset with the picture of our hotel and the Hilton in the background. She had so much fun.
This picture is just too classic and my favorite. We were waiting outside of the Family Fun Center and Emily was playing with her cousins. She was chasing a bug or something in this picture and it was just perfect timing for this shot.
So much fun in the pool. This is how she swam the entire time!! Would not let go of my neck and wanted to follow the kids everywhere! It was so much fun!
Looks a little mischievous doesn't she?! She was so proud of herself once she learned how to kick!
And we were finally on our way back to the US on Monday...we were so happy to get back to normal prices!!! Canadians are so friendly, but the prices for things there is outrageous!!

Canada

Saturday we left for Canada. Rob had let me drive so that he could lay downi n the back and get some rest. Thank goodness for Tom Tom is all I have to say! This trip was Emily's first time into Canada. We got stuck in traffic for over a hour because of a chemical spill on I-94. Crossing the border was an interesting experience...we had to go through a tunnel, ok...no big deal rightg?! WRONG...we were actually driving UNDER Lake Superior!!! Of course Rob had to share this information with me while we are still only half way through! This is a view of Detroit from our hotel in Canada. I have been to Canada before, but in Victoria. This was a whole new experience. To actually see our country from another country. It was just so amazing to see. We went to the park as soon as we got settled into the rooms so the kids could stretch their legs. Emmy had so much fun on the slides! Sunday morning we went to the Family Fun Center to give the kids something to do. Emily hung out aunt Jen most of the time while I was playing laser tag with Kenny, Tina and Rob. This was Emily and Jen's favorite thing to do. Emily would roll it, and then Jen would pick it back up as it came back and roll it all the way up! Thank you Jen for keeping Emily occupied for me!

Emily decided to help Tina while she played her games! She likes to copy everything that Tina does!

And she even sat in some rides all by herself...of course she didn't play them, but she sure had a lot of fun pretending to play them!
These are just a few pictures that Jen had on her camera. She tried not to take many pictures because she knew that Rob was taking a ton for me. I know there are a TON of cute pictures on his camera and will have to post those later. Just thought that I would get these on here for now!!
