First Place!

Emily and aunt Jen decided that eggs sounded good for breakfast on Sunday and miss Emmy needed to help!
One of my mom's best friends made miss Emmy this scarf. Oh my goodness, it is so soft! Emily walked around with it on ALL day the first day she got it. She is so spoiled!
Weighed in again yesterday and I lost 2 lbs. I know, not much, but I was happy to just be on the losing side again! For the past 2 weeks, I had stayed the same and was getting frustrated! But, then I got word on how we were doing as a team and individually...which we weren't supposed to know how we were doing individually!!! As usual...our team is winning by 50lbs! I think we got this one! But then, a co-worker of mine came into the staff room while I was waiting to clock in, and said that my boss was upset because she wasn't in the top 10 losers but was happy that I was the top loser as of last week! Yup...so far out of 70 people in this competition, I have lost the most weight!!! I can't remember how many more weeks we have to go with this, but I am going to keep my #1 spot!
I was so excited the other day. I went to the store and got new scrub pants because my old one's were much too big for me. I got one size smaller and figured I would be good to go. NOPE! I have them cinched all the way in and they are still falling! It is a nice feeling, but this is going to get expensive!

A few things

Only my daughter would choose to wear her sunglasses in the house with her pajamas still on!! I got the sunglasses in hopes that she wouldn't steal mine anymore...so far, it has worked!!!
With Rob being in Oregon for the week and me having Sunday off, Jen and I decided that we were going to have a girls day. So, we went to the airport, picked up Rob's car and then headed over to the shopping area. Now mind you, you were right there by the mall...actually, across the street, and we didn't go!! But, we did go to Michael's Craft store and stocked up on stickers and what not for scrap booking. Which, I do have to buckle down and get to it. Any ways, after we hit up the craft store, we went over to a much needed Olive Garden trip!!! I absolutely LOVE the Olive Garden. Every time I am back in OR, my mom tries to make it over to the valley to take me there. It is my all time favorite Italian restaurant. I could live there! Any ways, Emily tagged along with us, with her cousins went shopping with their grandma. Not wanting to spend much money, our day ended there, but it was nice to get out for a change. It seems like all I do is, work, come home and sleep for a few short hours, get up and deal with the kids, and then back to work.
I have started going out lately to start the whole dating process. It has been forever since I have done this and I feel very much overwhelmed! I haven't dated anyone since Emily's dad over 3 years ago! I didn't want to appear as though I was on the rebound or that I needed someone to help me raise my child. So, being the stubborn and very independant person that I am, decided to take a swing at being a single mom for a while! Learn how to be super mom and then go from there. Well, I think over the past 3 years, I have gotten to be an ok mom and have raised my daughter to be a mini me! I know, it is scary! So, now everyone is trying to set me up with dates and they are having WAY too much fun! Will see what it brings.
As for Emily, she is in the beginning stages of a cold. Poor thing has her dad's immune system. She gets sick a lot. I rarely get sick...maybe once a year, if that! The other night I went to give her a bath and decided that her hair is getting way to long and really thick to just be laying her back and washing her hair in the tub. So, I started the shower and washed her hair that way before I plugged the tub for her to play in the bath. Oh my goodness, the screaming that came from that little girls mouth! She HATED the shower. She kept asking for a towel, her aunt Jen, her blanket, etc. Anything to get out of that shower! After I finally was able to get her hair rinsed and sat her down, she rubbed her eyes and loooked up at me and said, "WOW mommy, I took a shower!" And then she had to review with me EVERYTHING that happened with that shower! She made the noise of the shower starting, imitated her crying, etc! She kept saying, "and then the shower did this, and I went like this, and then mommy said this!" Hopefully the next shower will go better!

"I didn't do it!!!"

The picture is kind of small because it was taken with a camera phone, but it is the funniest thing ever! Rob has purchased a used police car. Well, every day that I work, Emily goes to the bus stop at 3 with uncle Rob to get Kenneth off of the bus. She was sitting in the backseat with her face plastered against the window and it was too freaking classic. Rob got out and took a picture to send it to me at work! I, of course, had to show EVERYONE!!! Like father, like daughter? I DON'T THINK SO!
Had to go to an appointment at the WIC office today with Emily. She is 39 inches tall now and 41 lbs. Yup, 41 lbs! I was shocked. The nurse said that she is obese and will need to see a nutrionist! HUH? Because her weight did not match up with their stupid height and weight chart, she is obese? Are you freaking kidding me? Any ways, this has irritated me to no end, but I know that she is eating healthy and there is nothing that I need to change about her diet. Stupid charts!
Today was the weigh in day. Knowing that I got a little sick and tired of the whole diet thing this past week and and probably ate more normal food than I should have, I was expecting to actually gain some weight. Oh, to my surprise, I didn't gain or lose! I stayed the same! GO ME! But, this week I am back on the ball and ready to do this again!

Another Monday

AGH...after a VERY long day of work, I did get to weigh in again this afternoon and lost a total of 11 lbs last week. Which brings my total weight loss to 32 lbs in 3 weeks. So far our team is winning by 20 lbs! Just a few more weeks left...this dieting thing is difficult, but getting TONS easier now!
