Only my daughter would choose to wear her sunglasses in the house with her pajamas still on!! I got the sunglasses in hopes that she wouldn't steal mine anymore...so far, it has worked!!!

With Rob being in Oregon for the week and me having Sunday off, Jen and I decided that we were going to have a girls day. So, we went to the airport, picked up Rob's car and then headed over to the shopping area. Now mind you, you were right there by the mall...actually, across the street, and we didn't go!! But, we did go to Michael's Craft store and stocked up on stickers and what not for scrap booking. Which, I do have to buckle down and get to it. Any ways, after we hit up the craft store, we went over to a much needed Olive Garden trip!!! I absolutely LOVE the Olive Garden. Every time I am back in OR, my mom tries to make it over to the valley to take me there. It is my all time favorite Italian restaurant. I could live there! Any ways, Emily tagged along with us, with her cousins went shopping with their grandma. Not wanting to spend much money, our day ended there, but it was nice to get out for a change. It seems like all I do is, work, come home and sleep for a few short hours, get up and deal with the kids, and then back to work.
I have started going out lately to start the whole dating process. It has been forever since I have done this and I feel very much overwhelmed! I haven't dated anyone since Emily's dad over 3 years ago! I didn't want to appear as though I was on the rebound or that I needed someone to help me raise my child. So, being the stubborn and very independant person that I am, decided to take a swing at being a single mom for a while! Learn how to be super mom and then go from there. Well, I think over the past 3 years, I have gotten to be an ok mom and have raised my daughter to be a mini me! I know, it is scary! So, now everyone is trying to set me up with dates and they are having WAY too much fun! Will see what it brings.
As for Emily, she is in the beginning stages of a cold. Poor thing has her dad's immune system. She gets sick a lot. I rarely get sick...maybe once a year, if that! The other night I went to give her a bath and decided that her hair is getting way to long and really thick to just be laying her back and washing her hair in the tub. So, I started the shower and washed her hair that way before I plugged the tub for her to play in the bath. Oh my goodness, the screaming that came from that little girls mouth! She HATED the shower. She kept asking for a towel, her aunt Jen, her blanket, etc. Anything to get out of that shower! After I finally was able to get her hair rinsed and sat her down, she rubbed her eyes and loooked up at me and said, "WOW mommy, I took a shower!" And then she had to review with me EVERYTHING that happened with that shower! She made the noise of the shower starting, imitated her crying, etc! She kept saying, "and then the shower did this, and I went like this, and then mommy said this!" Hopefully the next shower will go better!
