Halloween

I still think that Emily is too young to go trick or treating, but grandma and grandpa next door wanted the kids to come over and trick or treat there. While I was at work, Jen got Emmy ready and all pretty in her princess dress and they went to grandma's house and got some goodies. I do have a feeling however that by next year, Emily is going to be more than ready to go out and get A LOT of candy. For now, I can get away with not taking her out!!!

Snow

Yesterday it snowed for the first time this winter. UGH. Not ready for this yet! But, either way...it snowed. Last year, Emily freaked every time she touched the snow...even with her shoes. Snow last year was called "Ewws." This year, she couldn't wait to go out in it and instead of calling it snow, she pronounces it "snowk!" It is too cute. I took the video of her saying it. Any ways, she had so much fun in it today. It isn't supposed to snow for the rest of the week...I will keep my fingers crossed!

Play Date

My friend Cassandra from work has a 6 month old daughter. Since it is officially winter weather outside now, Cassandra comes over now to use the tanning bed. In the mean time, I get to play with Lilly!!! This was the first day that she came over. Emily had so much fun.

I didn't even ask her to hug the baby, she just did it. How cute is this?!

A day with uncle Rob

Last December when I was back in OR for Christmas, my dad have given Emily a cookie for breakfast while I was taking a nap because that is what she wanted he said! This morning, Emily wanted her uncle Rob up, so she went upstairs to wake him up. Emily wanted a cookie, so uncle Rob gave her a cookie. This is what I saw when she came to get me! A chocolate face!

And, a first for Emily today...Rob and I were outside shooting his .22 while Emily was "taking a nap." Yeah, she decided that today was another non nap day! Any ways, while Rob had me outside practicing shooting, Emily came upstairs and wanted to join us outside. She opened the screen door and went over to her Rob. He picked her up and put her finger on the trigger and helped her shoot. She was so excited! She pointed to where she had just shot and said, "Mommy, whoah...a gun!!! So, we had to take a picture of it. Don't worry, she was perfectly safe!

Monkey in a Tree

My friend Kim from work is dating this new guy who makes balloon animals. So of course me being the person that I am, asked him if he would make me a monkey balloon since I call Emily my little monkey. Kim asked him while we were at work, and he called an hour later and said that not only had he made me a monkey, but he made a tree to go along with it. Again, being the person that I am, told him that there better be a coconut in the tree! Laughing out loud after I had said this knowing that I was being sarcastic, he quickly replied that he already had!! Being the nice guy that he is, then asked if I would also like bananas in it as well! I respectfully declined! Told him that he had already done more than enough. I went and got after I got off of work last night and put it in the living room so Emily would see it when she got up this morning. She LOVES it! Wasn't quite sure what to think of it at first, and freaked out when it started to fall over, but as soon as she realized that it was as light as a feather, she had so much fun playing with it.
This is when she was still a little apprehensive about it. I thought that it was just a cute pose though.
Ah, yes...Dora the Explorer came on...what balloon mom?!
Finally getting the nerve to touch it! This is when it started to fall over and she freaked!

Afternoon walk

It was a nice afternoon, so Emily and I decided that we would walk to the end of the road and pick up Kenny from the bus stop. Of course she had to stop and pick a flower in the middle of the grass on our way to the bus stop.
Such a little ham...I love it!
The very last part of our walk...I kept telling her that we were going to get Kenneth and she was running down the road to go get her "Tenneth!"
And we reached our destination! She just looks so small standing under our street sign!
And to kill time while we waited for the bus, she played with her doll in the rocks. This was her first walk down the road today. I am so paranoid about cars coming up the small hill and Emily running and getting hit. Tried it today, and she did great...stayed within 5 feet of me. Got to get in more walks before it starts snowing next month.
