Childrens Museum/OMSI

I took an extended weekend at the beginning of February and went to Salem/Portland. I took Emily to the Children's Museum in Salem and then we headed over to Portland and met up with my friend Courtney and her boyfriend Josh. We got a year pass to OMSI so we can go whenever and we just split the cost for the pass. We had so much fun...I do believe that I am going to have to go up there once every month or so! I miss my friends so much and I need to escape town every now and then. Spend some quality time with my daughter for a change!

Animals

Emily has the love for animals. I am not sure where she gets it, but it is fun to watch. These are pictures of her first time seeing/feeding a horse and first time holding a bunny. She was in heaven!! I think they smell, but she loves them!

So Smart

These books have been her most recent interest...I guess she will have a jump start on anatomy, right?!

I like to brag about Emily...quite often actually! But, she has learned so much this school year it has amazed me. When I picked her up from school one day, this paper was in her cubby. At first I thought that the teacher had put it in the wrong cubby, (Which is horrible to think, I know!) but then I realized that it was Emily's! I had to take a picture of it!
And the puzzle...I know most of you are like, "It's a puzzle, so?" Well, Emily has recently become obsessed with counting backwards, making smaller numbers into bigger numbers, etc. She was doing this with her puzzle the other day and I just thought I would take a picture of her doing it.

Tangled

I took a day and took Emily swimming, to lunch, icecream and to a movie. The movie, Tangled, was in theaters and it was at the old movie theater, the Bijou, which made it really neat. Emily loved the movie and we are still waiting for it to come out on DVD so she can have it. It was such a fun day. We did everything she wanted. I had been working so much between both jobs that I wasn't able to spend time with her. It was nice to just have an entire day with her and do whatever she wanted.

First Haircut

Yes, I finally broke down and did it...I finally decided that Emily needed a hair trim because the ends were getting really bad. It about broke my heart, but I got through it! They took 2 inches off of the very back, but you can hardly tell. It looks so much better now. I am glad I finally broke down and did it. Now, hair trims won't be bad!

Snowmen!

My good friend Shanna, who spoils Emily so much, decided that Emily had to have snow...before we could get the snow from the mountains. So, she bought her this fake snowman kit for her birthday! We had so much fun putting it together. It was actually really neat to do it. I had never heard of it before, but Shanna came across it in a magazine.

Where to Begin?!

I have A LOT of catching up to do, this I know...so here's a start!
As most of you know, Emily absolutely loves the snow and misses it so much. Well, a good family friend went up to the mountains one day and loaded the back of his truck up with snow and brought it to Emily! He dumped it in the side yard and she went out and played in it for an hour. If you can't tell, the snowman is a snow "princess!" She added a crown!
