So, I have been able to braid her hair for a little while now I guess, but just started doing it about 2 weeks ago. I promised my mom that I would take some pictures of her hair so she could see. It is just so difficult to get Emily to sit still long enough to braid it. Luckily, today she didn't take a nap because we were out shopping too late, so after her bath tonight, she was really tired and didn't want to get up and run around! Of course, then to get her to stand still long enough to get a picture was a whole other story! She likes to ham it up for the camera, so when I made her turn around, she had a fit.

This is her crying because she couldn't get her picture taken!! She soon got over it when I walked her over to the patio door to see uncle Rob working on the patio. It just amazes me to see pictures of her from just a few months ago and now and to see how much she has grown, not just her hair, but just her in general. She is so smart for her age too. She loves counting....but only 1 and 2, and then 9 and 8 backwords. She doesn't know any other numbers! Today, I watched her stack blocks from smallest to largest, then stack them back inside of each other to put them away from largest to smallest. She did it all on her own and even had a stack for the smaller blocks in one stack and the bigger ones in another until she got the middle blocks gathered up. I usually have to show her once and then she does it. Amazes me how she picks up on things so quickly.
And for the life of me I can't get her to sit and watch cartoons or anything while I attempt to get something done and not have her attached to my hip. I put on cartoons, she stays interested until I leave room. But tonight, oh my goodness...Jen and I were watching Forrest Gump on Tv...yeah I know, but it was the only thing on...and Emily has sat there watching it for over an hour and is just so interested. I had to call my dad and tell him that his granddaughter is following in his footsteps! He loves that movie.
And, her favorite phrases are:
"Where's Wob?"
"Where's Jen"
"MOM!"
"Mommy"
"Put it back"
"Sit down"
"I like cheese"
"Mom, I made a biper (diaper)"
"Where is baby"
"Give tisses (Kisses)"
And her all time favorite and my least favorite, "NO!"
